[más]Dating from the 12th centre the Kirk of St Nicholas is affectionately known locally as "the Mither Kirk" (mother church). It is located right in the heart of Aberdeen and is still used as a parish church, services are held regularly.
Visitors are welcome and admission is free although donations are welcome.
There is a shop on site and wardens are available to show visitors around between the following hours:
Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
The graveyard contains memorials dating back to the 17th century and is said to be frequented by the ghost of a white lady.
