The Hotel owners were keen to achieve a symbiosis between a modern wellness park-scape and the natural beauty of the Gastein Valley, when designing the new Grand Park Spa. The term Spa stems originally from the Latin word "sanus per aquam" and means roughly "healthy through water". A motto that the Grand Park Spa takes literally. Water plays the central role in the new Relax-Oasis. The healing Gastein thermal springs are the basis of many treatments that nurture your body.
A fitness studio with the latest high-tech equipment is just as much part of this generous Spa complex as are the steam baths and different saunas. AROMATIC STEAM GROTTO

Diffused aromatic scents have a stimulating effect, put you in a good mood, heal, calm and de-stress. The warm steam induces gentle perspiration and is highly beneficial to the respiratory system.
SNAIL ADVENTURE SHOWERS
Select your shower intensity, choose between tropical rain, waterfall or gentle drizzle. The side shower and the Kneipp Hose guarantee a particularly refreshing cleansing ritual.
CIRCULAR SHOWER
This comfortable shower with overhead and side-shower heads provides unadulterated cleansing and refreshment. The Kneipp Hose stimulates circulation.

Since the time of the old Romans the healing properties of the Gastein spring water have been well-known. Folk wisdom held a well ghost responsible for this. In 1904 scientists detected Radon as the source of the healing properties. The rainwater required over 3,000 years to seep deep into the earth, to a depth of roughly 2,000 m. At this depth the water warms up and resurfaces from the mountain at an altitude of 1,000 m. The natural gas Radon, which is a constant by-product within mineral rock formation, imbues the Gastein Thermal water with its healing powers. Radon has a cell-renewal effect, is anti-inflammatory, influences the immune system, increases the production of free radicals, produces pain-relieving agents in the organism and stimulates the body's self-healing properties.
