Local shopping is plentiful and varied as well as offering a host of restaurants, bars and cafes. The buzzy and popular Bergmann Strasse with its trendy shops and buzzy cafes is a short walk of only 5-600 metres. Downstairs from the apartment there is a bakery which sells fresh bread and croissants, At the end of Grossbeerenstrasse is the beautiful Victoria Park with its national monument. This monument provides an excellent viewpoint over much of the southern portions of the city. An artificial waterfall originates at the foot of the monument and continues down the hillside to the intersection of Grobeerenstrae and Kreuzbergstrae. Additionally, the local wine Kreuz-Neroberger is cultivated here.Transport links are excellent with the nearest underground station (Mehringdamm) approx. 500 metres and the above ground railway station (Yorckstrasse) approx. 800 metres.
