[más]The MoonWalk London is a yearly held charity event which started back in 1997 when 13 woman had the idea to walk the New York City marathon dressed in their bras to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer reserach.
The MoonWalk event in London nowadays attracts thousands of participants and spectators and consists of a 26.2 mile long route that starts and ends in Hyde Park and leads along some of the cities' main attractions.
All participants, men and women, have the chance to chose in between walking a "full moon" (full marathon) or a "half-moon" (half marathon) and traditionally take part wearing decorated bras, either only or on top of their clothing, wigs and other costumes.
The event, which has a different theme every year, traditionally takes place at night and always also attracts several VIP's who are willing to help the cause.
