[más]Tower is situated about a mile from the small town of Mold in the North Welsh borders. The building is a Grade 1 listed fortified border house that dates back more than five hundred years. It is surrounded by woodlands and ornamental gardens with a lake. Families are welcome, but children must be over the age of ten.
Tower has one twin and two double rooms with either an en-suite or private bathroom. They are furnished in an antique style with family portraits on the walls. All the rooms have television, a radio alarm, facilities for making tea and coffee, and books and magazines. Fresh fruit and flowers are also provided. Tower has a library where full Welsh breakfast is served.
The city of Chester with its historical attractions is about ten miles from Tower. Other places of interest in the area include Lyme Park, Tatton Park and Arley Hall and Gardens. The Clwydian Hills and Offa's Dyke offer opportunities for walking, as do the Dee estuary and the coast of North Wales. The Welsh National Portrait Gallery is located at Bodelwyddan Castle, and Mold has its own theatre.
