The Sheffield City Hall opened in 1933 and since that time it has become one of the City's most important venues. It is home to over 400 different events every year. These include music concerts, exhibitions, conferences, banquets, seminars and meetings.
Amongst the more unusual features here is an organ that is housed in the Oval Hall. This is the only surviving organ of its kind anywhere in the world.
In 2005 the City Hall underwent a £12 million (18 million Euros) refurbishment programme.
