Only 45 minutes south of Quito, close to the town of Machachi, The hosteria is located in beautiful fields and offers perfect view points for the surrounding volcanoes.Hosteria Papagayo offers different types of rooms for our clients. In 1933 Don Miguel Angel Benalcazar, great grandson of “the libertador” Simon Bolivar bought parts of these lands and named them “Hacienda la Bolivia”. The famous battles that lead to the beginning of the liberation took place in these shepherd’s fields where Papagayo stands today. Boyaca, Pichincha, Carabobo, Tarqui, Ayacucho, Junin and Cotopaxi, cherish those who gave their own blood for the liberation, the Conquistadors and the Liberator.
