Castillo Dunrobin (Golspie, Reino Unido)

Dunrobin Castle. overlooking the Moray Firth on the east coast of the Northern Highlands is just north of the villages of Golspie. It is the most northerly of Scotland’s great castles with 189 rooms and is one of Britain’s oldest continuously inhabited houses dating back to the early 1300s, home to the Earls and later the Dukes of Sutherland. Sir Charles Barry, who designed the Houses of Parliament in London, had the most influence on the design of the castle, although it was also influenced by Sir Robert Lorimer of Scotland. Dunrobin Castle open season is from 1st April to 15th October. Opening hours vary and are available at the website. The adult tariff is £7.50 and refreshments are available, as is a souvenir shop. Falconry displays are presented daily at 11h30 and 14h00 and there is also a museum with ethnographic and archaeological exhibits in the former summer house.
