Cataratas Dudhsagar (Mollem, India)

Dudhsagar Falls (literally meaning The Sea of Milk) lie high up in the Mandovi River’s watershed and is listed as India’s 5th tallest waterfall, 227th in the world at 310 m. It is a major part of the Goa ecosystem. Dudhsager Falls is located within The Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, which is located at the Goan town of Mollem. With a total area of 240 sq kms, this is the largest of Goa’s four protected wildlife areas. You are asked to pay a small entrance fee (around three English pounds) and are also asked to pay another £1 if you intend on taking photos. In order to get to the entrance of The Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary where The Falls are, you will need to take a ride in a Jeep and the costs of this is split between the six people in the Jeep and ends up costing about £5 each (the rangers wait until there are 6 people for the Jeep, so no need to worry if you are travelling in a smaller group).
