The church was built in between 1565 and 1585 in the Flemish Hallekerck style. One of its most striking features is the contrast in between the Renaissance style entrance porch and the otherwise brick built gothic main building.
The interior is famous for its colourful stained glass windows,.other highlights are the altar of the Chapel of the Virgin Mother and the portal with its six Corinthian columns.
There is no admission fee.
